XOMA

We're proud to have partnered with XOMA, a leading developer and manufacturer of innovative pharmaceuticals. XOMA focuses on critical disease areas such as cancer, inflammatory disorders, and infectious diseases. Howry was tasked with designing a communication concept that would not only appeal to investors and collaborators, but also effectively communicate XOMA's complex scientific advancements. We achieved this by incorporating strong visual elements, resulting in a report that clearly conveyed XOMA's capabilities, strategy, and future development to its readers. This successful collaboration led to a 10-year partnership, during which we continued to support XOMA's Investor Relations and Marketing initiatives.

McKesson

McKesson Corporation is the largest healthcare company in the U.S., distributing pharmaceuticals and providing health information technology, medical supplies, and health management tools. They deliver a third of all pharmaceutical products used or consumed in North America. Over a six-year period, Howry designed and produced corporate communications for McKesson’s marketing team, including a new company logo for both McKesson HBOC and McKesson Foundation and various communications for their HR and Marketing Departments.

Afffymetrix

Affymetrix, a leader in developing state-of-the-art technology for analyzing and managing complex genetic information in biomedical research, engaged Howry to create communications that would explain their complex technology and succinctly capture its value for shareholders. Our concept, "Why," exceeded all expectations. It was so well-received that an international genetics organization used it in their symposium event to illustrate the relevance of genetic evolution to everyday people. This success led to a long-term collaboration, with Howry producing all of Affymetrix’s Investor Relations and Marketing collateral for many years.

Vivus

Howry developed engaging concepts over several years for Vivus Therapeutics to describe their therapies for sexual dysfunction in both men and women. Our messaging for Vivus used a visual approach with minimal text, making it both compelling and easy to understand. Our aim was to accurately and quickly highlight Vivus's treatment advancements while also resonating with their investor community. We believe that effective communication plays a crucial role in people understanding a company's vision and progress, and we believe we achieved that for Vivus.

Pain Therapeutics

Pain Therapeutics developed a new generation of opioid painkillers that offer improved clinical non-addictive benefits. Pain Therapeutics uses innovative technology to reformulate existing opioid painkillers into new drugs providing enhanced pain relief, fewer adverse side effects, and reduced tolerance and addiction compared to current options. Howry helped the CEO with the company's messaging to their to shareholders, creating a compelling theme each year for several consecutive years.
